Website Development for Municipal Waste - Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment

Urban Waste Portal: virtual reference and thematic knowledge platform in municipal waste in Spain

The project involves the development of a website based on urban waste. The new website disseminates criteria, objectives and actions put forward by the Ministry of the Rural and Marine Environment in the field of waste, including documents, legislation, statistics and experiences.

Strategically, this website is positioned as a knowledge network that provides high-value and highly organized information. With experiences and good practices available, the portal will be used as a web space where there is contact, and therefore transfer of knowledge, between users among the target audience.

This new space was developed in response to the evolving needs of waste management, in particular municipal waste, in urban centres. This area is undergoing a significant evolution in recent decades in Spain. The new regulations and the emergence and consolidation of new collections, technology and many new experiences, necessitate the existence of a tool to manage the available information.
