Due to recent  contamination episodes in cities, air quality is at the centre of environmental policies today.

Air quality issues due to contamination exist not only in cities but all over the world. Unfortunately, there is a lack of studies on both the atmospheric environment and systemic approaches. The consequence is that planners do not have tools flexible enough for making decisions to really affect air quality, or to improve the current situation well into the future.

SIMU-CA is a revolutionary computer application that lets you know the air quality in a specific space. Based on three pillars: a mesoscale meteorological model, model of emissions on a high temporal and spatial resolution, and a model of chemical transport. SIMU-CA characterizes the quality of a region or parcel of land with a temporal resolution and space of 1 km squared.

In addition, you can customize settings using SIMU-CA, with the aim of improving air quality in the study area. By measuring the characteristics of pollutant emissions by sector, and by studying them in specific detail, episodes of high pollution can be determined and better predicted.

SIMU-CA products work on all Geographic Information Systems, allowing an ease of integration and a high calibre capacity for analysis.
