SCACS system

The low temperature heat demand (heating and DHW) is more than 50% of the total demand for residential buildings. When there is higher energy demand (winter) less is the amount of solar radiation available.
This project aims to cover 100% of this demand with the utilization of solar energy. We propose the integration of solar panels, batteries for seasonal heat (which is located under the building) and heat pumps.
We have studied the technical and economic feasibility of the system and developed a simulation tool for the different situations. The development of this project was made possible through the collaboration of Unnim.
