Implementation of the Special Plan of sustainability indicators for six morphological samples in Seville

Location of the urban fabric chosen for analysis

The report is intended to provide a description and evaluation for various samples of urban scenarios in Seville. Its also raises strategic lines of improvement for the key variables in the planning and management of urban tissues, based on the Special Plan of indicators of environmental sustainability of the urban activity of Seville.

The calculation of the indicators for six samples of Seville, allows modeling the elements that make up the urban system and the relationships between its elements, analyzing for each of them. The degree of compliance is set according to a required minimum and optimum values and lines of action described. It is intended to identify gaps in the urban space or on the contrary, designs and approaches favouring a suitable context in promoting the sustainable city and knowledge model.

En términos generales, el nivel de adecuación global de los indicadores es bajo y las seis muestras edificatorias alcanzan valores similares de cumpli-miento global. Por tejidos urbanos, el porcentaje de indicadores que alcanzan el mínimo requerido oscila entre el 30 y el 40%. La relación de indicadores que cumple con los valores óptimos planteados (deseables) es de entre el 15 y el 20%. Los indicadores que se cumplen en todas las muestras son: densidad de viviendas, complejidad urbana y la presencia de actividades comerciales cotidianas. El acceso al transporte público de superficie y a la red de bicicletas queda garantizado para cinco de los seis tejidos urbanos.
